IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Addie Marie
Benefield
January 22, 1944 – October 26, 2019
Addie Marie Benefield was born on January 22, 1944, in Galveston, TX. to the late Franklin Benefield and Marilyn Justice. She departed her earthly life on October 26, 2019, and was preceded in death by her father Franklin, mother Marilyn and brother Robert Jean Justice.
Addie graduated high school and pursued a career in nursing in the state of California. She eventually moved back to Texas, where she gave birth to a daughter Jackie Marie Justice.
Addie accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized. She became a member of Gospel Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, TX. under the leadership of Pastor Fred Dixon.
Addie loved chicken wings, pork-n-beans with rice and sweets. She could eat chicken wings every day, literally. She also loved watching NFL football games, playing Gin Rummy and Dominos. Her favorite saying was "Weeee Doggie" and "Ohhh Well". Those who met Addie loved her and her warm personality. She was so funny at times and could make you laugh when you were having a bad day! We will miss you Addie, but we know you are doing just fine.
Addie leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter Jackie Justice-Prothro (Larry); grandchildren: Colby Onic (LaJoi), Cameron Onic, Courtney Marie Onic, Larren Murphy and Lytaria Prothro; great-grandchildren: Kierstyn Onic and Lester Murphy IV; sisters: Frankie Cooks and Georgia May Benefield both of Dallas, TX, Doris Woodard, Audrey Benefield and Carolyn Speed all of Houston, TX. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
