Adell Gossett was born on October 9, 1935 in Troup, Texas to the parentage of Fred and Vernell Adams Gossett. He united with Mt. Neob Baptist Church in Bullard, Texas at a young age. Adell attended Stanton High School in Whitehouse, Texas. He later enlisted in the United States Navy where he served his country for four years. He then returned to Tyler, Texas where he worked at Western Foundry and Tyler Pipe before moving to Dallas, Texas where he worded and retired from Havertys Furniture Company.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Vernell Gossett and his brother Johnny V. Gossett.
He leaves to cherish his memories, five brothers: Vanell (Delphine) of Tyler, TX., Fred L. (Pearlie) of Flint, TX., Carnell of Tyler, TX., Ronnie (Helen) of Jacksonville, FL., and R.V. (Ida) of Tyler, TX.; two sisters: Dorothy Mae Gossett of Tyler, TX. and Ruby Faye Head (Rodney) of Tyler, TX.; one uncle; one aunt and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
