Obituary

To Everything, There is a Season…

Albert Traylor was born on June 15, 1949, in Marshall, Texas, to Sammie Mae Traylor and Albert Hicks, he was the eldest of eleven by Sammie Mae Traylor. At the age of 6, his family relocated to Dallas, Texas.

A Time to Educate…

Albert attended Dallas Independent Schools and South Oak Cliff High School. He was an active member of the ROTC and Rifle club.

A Time to Celebrate…

Albert loved shooting pool, flag football, golf, bowling, fishing, boating, riding his motorcycle, and singing Motown Soul. Albert was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan....win or lose, he loved Dem Boys!

A Time to Plant…

Albert accepted Christ at an early age. As a Young Man Albert was drafted to the United States Army and stationed at Fort Richardson Anchorage, Alaska. Albert returned home in 1973 and enlisted into the Reserved until 1975. He received medals of National Defense Service, expert sharpshooter (marksman bar, and Badge). Albert was employed at The United States Postal Service for 40 years. A great leader, Union President. He secured limitless jobs for postal workers and their families, this made him a part of his coworkers' lives.

A Time to Love…

Albert was a loving husband to Gina N. Traylor.

A Time to Depart…

Albert left this earth on wings of Angels to rest in the arms of our Heavenly Father. He fought a long fight and went home on September 6, 2020. Albert is preceded in death by Mother Sammie Mae Traylor, Father Albert Hicks, his Sisters: Brendia Roberson, Jeannetta Diane Traylor, Gloria Thomas, and Brother: Donald Ray Traylor.

Left in the Caring Hands of God…

Albert is survived by loving and devoted wife Gina Traylor, children: Dorian (Alison) Traylor, Lashell Traylor, Albert Traylor Jr., Brandi (Cedric) Johnson, Emory Traylor, and Marcus Traylor, grandchildren: O'Shea Scaaf, Kenan J. Traylor, Cedric Johnson Jr., and Jace Johnson, siblings: Annie Robinson, Linda (Cedric) Parson, Wilbert (Stephanie) Traylor, Clifford (Batricia) Traylor, Sammie Traylor and R.W. Traylor, Mother In-law Lillie N. Hutchinson; Father-In-Law Allen D Hutchinson; Fur Baby Mylo Traylor and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Albert had a rich legacy of life, laughter, and love.
