IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alberta
Anderson
December 22, 1938 – July 26, 2023
Alberta Cook was born to Horace and Alice Cook was born on
December 22, 1938.
Alberta was blessed to have four sisters – Ella Mae Ashford,
Lucille Burston, Bessie Peoples and Alzenia Cook and three
brothers Wilie Cook, Arthur Lee Cook Jr., Robert Cook and
Johnny Cook of whom all preceded her in death.
Alberta Cook was married in 1953 to Aiken Sims Anderson
(deceased). They were blessed to have six children born to their
union. Her children Barry Sims Anderson, Jacqueline Anderson
and Farish Leon Anderson preceded her in death.
Mother taught us, by example, to work hard for what you want.
She believed in doing the right thing and right will follow you.
Mother loved God, reading the Word and serving the Lord.
She loved her family and music; and could always make you
laugh. She (like her Dad) was always talkative and lively. She
enjoyed entertaining her family in her home. In her retirement
years, Mother enjoyed garage sales, and worked part-time until a
few years ago. She drove herself until a few months ago.
Alberta was a proud and faithful member of The Church of the
Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith in Dallas, Texas under
the leadership of Bishop Vuray Bush. She was known as Mother
Anderson and was loved by many. She always had a smile for
everyone and a warm greeting for people. She remained faithful
until the Angel of Silence entered into her life at 11:06 am on
July 26, 2023.
Alberta leaves to cherish her memories her children: Renia
Anderson (Mississippi), Norma Carter (Dallas, Texas) and
Kimmy Harris (Franklin) West Columbia, SC; eight grandchildren of whom she loved dearly; a close cousin Roberta Bright; a
dear friend Tomasina Clinton (both of South Carolina); a special
nephew Cosmo Peoples and a host of great grandchildren, nieces,
nephews and loving friends.
Mother Anderson will be forever missed by those who knew and loved her.
Please continue to keep the family of Alberta Anderson in your prayers.
