Alice Marie Davis (Pooky) was born on October 3, 1937, in Plano, Texas to the parentage of Edward Hutchinson and Celestine Stimpson. She attended Plano schools and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age under the leadership of the late Reverend Charles Hill at Hill Chapel CME Church.

Alice was an active member of the church serving the Lord by singing in the choir, an usher board member, attending bible study, a faithful member of the Women Missionary Society and Stewardess Board.   She actively served all other functions of the church as long as her health permitted.  Alice will always be remembered as a passionate, obedient Godly woman who was a loving and joyful person. She valued and adored all her family and friends.

In 1959, Alice united in marriage to Joe Everett Davis in Plano, Texas and they were married for 61 years. From this union, they were blessed with 3 devoted children: Dalton J.E Davis, Jr, Ronald S. Davis and Teresa A. Davis.   Alice worked and retired from U.S Brass Corporation of Plano after 30 plus years of dedicated services.

Alice is preceded in death by her father Edward Hutchinson, mother Celestine Stimpson, and three sisters Edwina Hutchinson, Sandra Gilstrap and Mae Francis Washington.

Alice leaves behind to cherish her memories, her loving husband Joe E. Davis; her three children: Dalton Davis (Karen), Ronald Davis, and Teresa Davis; one sister Daisy Lee Griggs; grandchildren who she cherished and loved dearly: Monet Dean, Mariah Dean, Miles Dean, Kaelin Davis, Derian Davis, Prea Davis and a host of other family and friends.
