IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Astrid R
Sierra
February 29, 1968 – March 13, 2026
Astrid Regina Sierra was born February 29th, 1968, in Tegucigalpa Honduras. She spent the majority of her childhood with her family there before arriving in the United States.
Twenty-five years later she gave birth to a son, Luis Sierra, that changed her life forever. As a mother, she spent the remainder of her years focusing on the well-being of her son. Despite all opposition she faced financially, her son never went to bed hungry or had a night without a place to stay. It was thanks to God and the help of family, that all needs were secured as she worked hard and was very diligent in providing for her son. Although there was always a wait, she would often surprise her son with things she would put on lay away and purchase in payments.
Luis was grateful for his mom and made sure not to give his mom any trouble. In her milestones, she gave him his first car and aided him in moving forward in life. She was able to witness his graduation, wedding, and the birth of her granddaughter. If there is anything Astrid taught her son, it was the sacrifice of a mother and the importance of aiding him with unconditional love that only a blessed mother can give.
She had few friends but those that she kept, watched for her well, helping her be a better mom. In her later years, she gave her life to Christ, as he began to influence and change her little by little. She became a different woman driven to do better.
In her last year and a half of life on this earth, it was an honor to serve her on her bedside as each visit from friends and family encouraged her to keep fighting her battle. She loved every moment when loved ones would come stay and spend the night with her and just be there for her in her time of need. In her last few months, she still had that selfless love for her son and loved those who came to cheer her up often.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her son, Luis Sierra; her grandchild; her sister, Maria Martinez; her brothers, Orlando Lopez, Paulino Sierra; and her nieces, Karina Lockhart and Claudia Solano.
