Mr. Ben E. Marcus was born on July 30, 1946, in Dallas, Texas, son of the late Willie Marcus and Beatrice Marcus. The family moved to Grand Prairie, TX where he received his formal education. Through his journey of 79 years, he touched many lives with his wisdom, humor and an unwavering spirit of perseverance.

Ben met and married Mary Jo Perry on August 29, 1969. To this union, four beautiful children were born - Tracy Marcus, Imonte Marcus, Sr., Quinn Marcus, Sr. and Erica Bryant. He was a proud husband and father who loved his family.

Ben was employed at Atrium Door for many years until retirement. He was a man who enjoyed the simple things in life such as cooking, going to the casino, watching his favorite sports team "the Dallas Cowboys", and he loved going to the Race Track. Grilling was one of his favorite pastimes. He started his own barbeque business and would always have a booth at the Texas State Fair.

Beyond his professional and family life, Ben was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, TX. His faith was a cornerstone of his existence, quietly guiding him in his daily life and interactions with others. He remained a faithful member until his demise.

On October 5, 2025, Ben concluded his earthly journey and joined his loved ones in heaven leaving a void that can never be filled. He is preceded in death by his wife, granddaughter, parents, four brothers, and one sister.

Ben leaves the following to celebrate his legacy: three sons, Tracy Marcus, Imonte (Tiameka) Marcus, Sr., Quinn Marcus, Sr.; one daughter, Erica Bryant; eight grandchildren, Dalon Willis, Breonna Marcus, Imonte Marcus, Jr., Darius Morgan, Sequoia Overstreet, U'Nique Barrett, Quinn Marcus, Jr., and Kennedi Peters; special grandchildren, Sharmika Fowler and Domonique White; special great granddaughter, Liliana Diaz and a host of relatives and friends.

Ben will be greatly missed. His selflessness, strength, and generous spirit will be remembered forever.
