Benjamin Ray Allen was born April 20th, 1960, in Chester, Dodge County, Georgia. Benny as his family affectionately called him, was born to the late Ellis Jean Allen and Arthur Whitman.
Benny was raised in Dodge County and graduated from Dodge County High School in Eastman, Georgia. Benny soon left Georgia to establish a life in Texas. He soon met the late Yolanda "Cookie" (King) Allen and they married. From this union, they enjoyed two children and a special daughter, Chameria Black (Tyrone Black) Grand Prairie, TX, Taren Allen (Anthony Davis) Grand Prairie, TX, and Zaren Allen of Baltimore Maryland.
Benny was an active Deacon at the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. He loved his church home and his church family.
Benny leaves to cherish his memories with three grandchildren: Zy'Kayla Henderson, Kaiden Black, and Teal Martin, one sister LaVonne "Lucy" McWhite of Grand Prairie, TX, Gary L. Allen of Grand Prairie, TX, and Grady F. Allen of Yonkers, Georgia, two uncle Earnest Allen and Randall Allen of Dallas, Texas. Also meeting him at the gates of Heaven are his brother Douglas R. Allen and his beloved grandparents Dorothy and Mathew Allen. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, special family and friends.
