A GLIMPSE AT THE LIFE OF

Bessie Faye Turner

Mrs. Bessie Faye Turner was born on October 22, 1939 in
Daingerfield, Texas. She received her formal education in
Rowlett/Garland, Texas and graduated from George W. Carver
High School, Garland, Texas.

Bessie and Mr. Joy Turner were united in Holy Matrimony in
November 1958 in Rockwall, Texas and to this union three
children were born.

Bessie had many interests including family, community, church,
singing and making contributions to the church. The simplest
pleasures in life brought great joy to her.

If you ever met Bessie, your life was changed forever. Her
personality was contagious, and she left an imprint on everyone
she encountered. She was an absolute joy to be around. She was
adored and cherished by her loving family and close friends. She
retired early from Texas Instruments (TI), Richardson, Texas to
spend more time with her family and within her community.

Bessie went to be with the Lord on June 29, 2023. Left to cherish
her memories, celebrate her life and continue her legacy are her
devoted husband Mr. Joy Turner of Garland, TX; two loving
children Joyce Ann Smith of Princeton, TX and Michael James
Turner of Garland, TX; two grandchildren (Joyce Ann) Kimberla
Sharial (McCraney) Turner-Vance (Alfred II) of Rowlett, TX and
Kendle Joyell Smith of Princeton, TX; Sister Ethel Faye Swain of
(San Bernardino, CA); many nieces and nephews; and a host of
relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death, son Arthur Charles Turner of Garland,
TX; father Ardis Alexander Sr. and mother Mary C. Heath
Alexander of Garland, TX; sisters Aline Sample, Oteria Duffey,
Opal Neal all of Garland, TX, Mae Francis Alexander of
Amarillo, TX; two brothers Ardis Alexander Jr. and Travis
Alexander both of Garland, TX.

Mrs. Bessie Faye Turner was loved dearly, and her smile and
presence will be missed.
