Obituary

Betty Lou Thompson-House was born April 9, 1959 to Joe and Mary Thompson in McKinney, TX. She was the youngest daughter of 10. Betty received her formal education from Frisco High School.

In the year of 1975 she met the love of her life Ricky House and a year later October 9, 1976, they were united in holy matrimony. She was blessed to be employed by two wonderful families The Orenders' and The Tuttles' from 1985-1999, through this an eternal kinship was created.

Betty was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost at an early age. She was a faithful member at Moore's Chapel Church of God in Christ for 32 year where she served as the Sunshine Band Director. She was also known for her distinctive soprano vocals which led her to be sought after by many other mass choirs as their lead vocalist. In 2001 she became the First Lady of Eternal Life Church of God in Christ until she became a member of Northeast Bible Church in 2014. She has been a devoted and dedicated member with her family until God called her home.

With a lifetime of complications, she was fighter, a conqueror and a survivor. She never lost faith in God. She always had a smile on her face even through her pain. She encouraged others, and she never met a stranger. She touched the lives of many people. She was a true example of a virtuous woman.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joe Cleve and Mary Elizabeth Thompson. Her three brothers: Jodie Thompson, Glen Thompson and Jimmy Thompson. Two sisters: Sandra Thompson and Rita Ratcliff.

Betty leaves to cherish her legacy in memories to her loving husband of 42 years Ricky House Sr; one son: Ricky House Jr of McKinney TX.; three daughters: Raquel Tasby(Bret) of Desoto TX, Mindy Long(Donald) of Coppell TX, and Bridgette House of McKinney TX.; five grandchildren: Demerric House, Sammy House, Trevon Hunter, Brooklyn Abrams and Emerson House; one great grandchild: Ariya House; one brother: Johnny (Susie); three sisters: Joyce Moore, Frankie Wilson (Willie) Mable Smith (Jessie); father in-law: Sammy Houser(Alma); mother in-law: Dorothy Clayton and a host of nephews, nieces, relative and dear friends.
