Obituary

Beulah was born on November 30th, 1944 in Lubbock, Texas, to the parentage of Clifton JT and Mary Louise Shannon. Beulah first married Jack Edmond and they were married for 10 years.

Then widowed to Lawrence Stamps.

She received her formal education at Fredrick Douglass School in Plano, TX. Her first full-time job was at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Plano, TX. She assisted in the Daycare for approximately 15 years of which she excelled very fast. From her hard work and dedica-tion, Pastor Tremble quickly realized what a kind of gem he had. She also served as lead cook, transportation/pick up driver for the children, kitchen manager and a daycare supervisor. Ms. BJ (as she was affectionately known) took all her positions seriously. Her cooking was so good to Pastor Tremble; he would always a plate set aside for him! Parents would ask what Ms. BJ was putting in her food because the children would not want to eat at home and state "We'll just wait and eat what Ms. BJ cooked at daycare."

After Shiloh's Daycare closed, BJ worked at City Place in Plano, TX. Ms. BJ loved the children there. She would talk to them, sing and play games with them. As we all know, she did not have many problems with them. She was no nonsense and she "did not play" and if they were bad/disobedient and didn't listen, (a hardhead as she would say), she would get them together real quick. And, the parents respected that she would get them together real quick. If they were misbehaving at home, parents would ask " Do you want me to call Ms. BJ on you?"

BJ loved to cook. She was very passionate about cooking for Victory Outreach over the holidays. She would cook the entire dinner, including her well-known peanut butter cake and they would be delighted to drive from Dallas to Ennis to pick it up!

Beulah knew when God called her Home, she would be ready. She had it all planned out. She left her plans to the one she knew would execute them. She left several letters of instructions and even after moving out of her apartment, she left one black dress in her closet of which she is wearing today.

BJ was a true Christian woman, and didn't mind calling on Him or saying His name.
