IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Beverly
Young
September 4, 1955 – April 12, 2024
Beverly Colleen Young "Bev" was born September 4, 1955 to Odis "O.D." and
Mary Young in Joppa, Texas.
Beverly grew up in Seagoville, Texas where she attended and completed
school. She joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church at an early age where she served faithfully until
God called her home.
Beverly welcomed her first daughter in 1971, thereafter she married Jesse Morris, Jr. and to
this union two daughters were born.
Her career began at Country Crock. She then took her talents to Burlington Coat Factory until
she retired. There she groomed and molded many young adults as she instilled the proper work
ethics such as BEING ON TIME. Throughout her life she nurtured and loved on many, and
many loved her in return including all her plants, gardens, and jewelry.
She served the community of Joppa alongside her best friend/sister, Kathy Williams at Kathy's
Sunshine Outreach Center. She worked diligently with her church family serving the
community of Sandbranch weekly until her health declined. She loved her entire church family
and all of Sandbranch.
A Mother, a MeMe, a Sister, an Aunt Bev, and a Friend to many, she enjoyed being with family
and friends, family traditions with her girls and especially loved game nights. She was present
at every milestone in her girls' and grandchildren's lives.
She is proceeded in death by her parents; her brothers, Donald, Bobby, and Billy; sisters,
Catherine Jean and Mary Margaret.
She leaves to cherish her three daughters, Tajuana Gray (Travis), LaToya Traylor (Willie),
Tiffany Fields (Dewayne); grandchildren, Ka'Neetha, Travis, Trennedy, Tristan, TaDarius,
Alex, ShaQuerra, Michael, Keya, Cornelius and Zeniah; great-grandchildren, Josiah Santana,
ZyAire, ZaMiah, Zaborick, Chosen, Marley, Mecca and Cymora; brothers, Otis Fisher (Diane),
J.D. Fisher.
She will definitely be missed by so many relatives and friends, and her love will live in our
hearts forever.
