Bill Wesley Standberry was born on April 6, 1955, in McKinney, Texas to Betty and Clyde Standberry, Sr. He was raised in Plano, Texas, and attended school in the Plano Public School System. He was a 1973 graduate of Plano High School where was an outstanding football player.

Bill accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Hill Chapel CME Church under the leadership of Pastor Clarence J, Ford, Jr.

He was preceded in death by both his parents Betty and Clyde Standberry, Jr.; wife Michelle Standberry; two sisters: Claudette and Lula Jean Standberry and two brothers: Michael and Don Standberry.

Bill leaves to cherish his memories, two sons: Shane Standberry and Shon Standberry; one sister: Paulette Standberry; four brothers: Clyde R. Standberry (Judy), Rickey Standberry, Amos Standberry (John) and Michael Ellis; grandson Keanu Standberry and a host of other relatives and friends
