A GLIMPSE AT THE LIFE OF Mr. Billy Joe Dunn

Billy Joe Dunn, 57, of Garland, Texas passed from this life on Monday,
September 18, 2023.
Billy Joe Dunn was born in Dallas, Texas on November 13, 1965 to
Phyllis Marie Williams & Billy Edward Dunn. He grew up and
attended school in Garland, Texas. He went to Garland High School
and Lakeview. Later in life, he attended night school where he
received his GED.
Billy worked many jobs in his life from being a mechanic to a security
guard. He ultimately earned his CNA license in 2018, a job which he
adored as he was so proud to take care of elderly people.
Billy was an extremely loving father and a charming/charismatic
person. He loved to laugh and talk; he never met a stranger. He knew
everybody and their mama!
Billy Joe grew up COGIC and in January 2011, he became a member
of the Eastside Church of Christ. Billy had a thirst for knowledge and
thoroughly enjoyed preaching and sharing the word of God.
He is preceded in death by his beautiful mother, Phyllis Marie Williams
and twin brothers, Ronald and Donald Dunn.
Billy is survived by his beloved Veda D., the love of his life for 32
years; his children and greatest joys in life: April Danielle Dunn and
Timothy Ray Dunn of San Antonio, TX, Billy Dunn of Plano, TX,
Billy Emmanuel Dunn & Zareea Dunn of Garland, TX; his precious
grandchildren, Mattiesyn, Olivea, Sophia, Avery & Aubrielle Dunn all
of San Antonio, TX; his father, Pastor Billy E. Dunn Sr. & wife Joanne
of Dallas, TX; his siblings Tommy Williams and wife Annette of
Garland, TX, John Dunn and Joyce Weatherall of Dallas, TX, Ronald
Dunn of Carrollton, TX, Angela Franklin and Jacqueline Dunn of
Dallas, TX & Billy E. Dunn Jr of Killeen, TX; his lifelong best friend/
brother Rodney Jones of Garland, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews
& other family members.
