Bonnie Ruth Lee was born August 15, 1954 in Dallas, Texas to LeVelle Lee, Sr. and Lela Robinson Lee. She grew up in the Dalworth Community of Grand Prairie, Texas. She graduated from Grand Prairie High School in May of 1972.

At a very early age Bonnie accepted Christ as her Lord and personal Savior. She joined Evening Chapel AME Church and worked in many capacities. She attended Bauder Fashion College and retired from Pitney Bowes.

Bonnie loved sewing, shopping, and going to the casino. She always kept a smile on her face which brought joy to everyone she encountered. She married Nathaniel Freeman on January 14, 1983.

Bonnie gained her wings on Saturday, December 30, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, LeVelle Lee, Sr. & Lela Lee; two sisters LaVerne Sneed and Avie Washington; two brothers Fredell and LeVelle Jr. and grand puppy Biskuit.

She's succeeded by her two daughters Kristie Newman (Marvez) and Krystle Franklin (Brandon Sr.); two grandchildren Jasmine and Kiara;
four sisters Gloria Fluker, Beverly Jackson (Roy Sr.), Nancy Cormier and Lela Harvey; three great-grandchildren; aunts Joyce Harris and Stel-
la Robinson; uncle Carl Lee Brown; and a host nephews, nieces, friends, and two grand-puppies Sassy and Shorty, all whom will miss her beautiful smile.
