IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bradie Lee
Brown
July 27, 1935 – March 30, 2024
Bradie Lee Brown was blessed to the parentage of Bee Moss and Rosie Nelson
Henry on July 27, 1935, in Willisville, Arkansas.
Bradie met Clarence Brown, Sr., and they were united in holy matrimony.
They were blessed with six beautiful children. Her love for her family was unconditional and
endless. She was an amazing wife and mother who did all she could to bring joy and happiness
to their lives.
Bradie gave her life to God at an early age. She became a pillar in the church community after
joining the New Generation Holiness Church, under the leadership of Pastor C.E. Yates and
First Lady Brenda Yates. As a faithful and devoted member, she received her license and be-
came a Missionary.
Bradie affectionately known as "BigMama" was a prayer warrior and an intercessor. She was a
Christian woman of great faith who loved to worship and praise God. She believed in the pow-
er of prayer, and only Heaven knows what a wonderful and eternal impact all her many years
of faithful praying have had on her family and friends. Her faithfulness and devotion to God
has blessed her to have a long, fulfilling life.
To know "BigMama" was to love her, and her love was unconditional. She never met a
stranger. Once she met and came in contact with you more than once, you were then consid-
ered family. She enjoyed spending time with her family and going to family functions.
"BigMama" loved to cook and bake. She was an excellent cook and loved to host family gath-
erings. She is known to all for her delicious peach cobbler and turkey dressing.
"BigMama" gained her wings on March 17th, 2024. She is preceded in death by husband,
Clarence Brown, Sr.; sons, Bennie Ray Brown, Bennie Dean Brown, and Clarence Brown, Jr.;
brothers, Jimmy Nelson, Otis McKinney, and Nathaniel; sisters, Barbara Ann Nelson, Rosie
Lee Nelson, Naomi Locks.
Bradie "BigMama" Brown leaves to cherish her precious memories: a daughter, Dorothy Lee
Jones; sons, James Burnell (BigMan) and Billy Ray Brown (O.C.); 40 (plus) grandchildren; 30
plus great grandchildren; 20 great-great grandchildren; sister, Gloria Jean McClure; brother,
Raymond Beasley; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who loved her
dearly.
She is now our guardian angel; looking over us and protecting us. We will miss her dearly.
Bradie "BigMama" Brown will always and forever be in our hearts.
Proverbs 31:26.
She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.
