Brenda Gail Smith (66) an "Empress" to her family of McKinney, TX passed away on January 31, 2020.  Brenda Gail Smith was born to the parents of the late L.B. Smith and Ola Earl Smith.

Brenda Gail Smith resided in McKinney where she lived in a city that she loved. She graduated from McKinney High School class of 1972. Thereafter, she began her career at Blue Cross Blue Shield which was one of her favorite places to work.

Brenda Gail smith and Jessie were determined to have their jewel Chez Jones and immediately after his arrival they found out that he was not just their jewel and they had to share him with the Elders of the family.

Brenda Gail Smith was preceded in death by her father, L.B. Smith, her mother Ola Earl Smith, brothers, L.B. Smith Jr. and James Smith.

Brenda Gail Smith is survived by her son Chez Jones, only grandchild Egypt Jones, her dear sister Omie Early Smith Dedman Copeland, and nephews Kyle Dedman and Sephton Dedman. She also has a host of family and friends who she leaves with great memories and true laughter.

Brenda Gail Smith was and loved by her family and friends. She was a Rebel in life and lived her life as she saw fit. She was very intelligent and had great qualities and was very straight forward and to the point. To know Brenda was to love her and those that knew her personally loved her beyond measures. Brenda wanted to figure things out for herself, however, if you were family, she would protect you no matter the cost. She was loved by many friends as well, but the true "Apple of her Eye" was her son Chez Jones. Her only grandchild Egypt Jones was a great gift from God given to her during her life.
