Obituary

Brenda Kay Watson, a loving wife, mother, and "MeeMaw", was called home by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on August 14, 2022, on her 73 rd birthday surrounded by her family.

Brenda was born in Sherman, Texas to Bobby and Betty Rice. She graduated from Denison High School in 1967. She married her high school sweetheart, Greg Scully in January of 1968 who preceded her in death in 1977. Brenda found the love of her life William R. Watson and they were married in July of 1981.

Her life was a living example of Christ's love. She was a prayer warrior and would often be found sitting at her kitchen table studying God's word and praying. Brenda and Bill volunteered with Our Children's House at Baylor for many years. She enjoyed sharing God's love with others and there is no doubt when she entered the Gates of Heaven she heard "Well done my good and faithful servant".

Brenda is survived by, her cherished husband of 41 years, William. She was the beloved mother of Andria (Peter), and Alison (Homer, Jr.), proud grandmother of Ethan, Jean-Pierre "JP", Homer III, William, Anthony (Francesca), Steven (Kristina), and Daniel, and doting great-grandmother of J.D., Grayson, Emmalynn, and Ellen. She was also a loving relative to many others and a caring friend to many. She will be greatly missed.
