IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bryan P.
Cooke
March 27, 1938 – November 7, 2025
Bryan Paige Cooke, Sr. was born in Winchester, Virginia on March 27, 1938, to the parentage of the late Theresa Elizabeth and George William Cooke. He accepted Christ at an early age.
Bryan received his formal education in Winchester School District, where he later joined the United States Air Force. After serving for several years, he moved to Fort Worth, Texas, and remained there until the late 80's or early 90's. Bryan then moved back to Winchester, VA to be with his siblings, and in December 2024, he moved back to Texas to be with his children.
Affectionately known as Mr. B or Uncle B., he lived a life defined by kindness, warmth, and an extraordinary ability to make others feel welcome. He loved people and never met a stranger. He had a true gift for connecting with others — chatting, listening, and always leaving people better than he found them. Whether it was a friendly conversation or a moment shared, Bryan had a way of making everyone feel like an old friend.
Bryan had many passions throughout his life. He enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking, listening to the Blues, and most of all, dressing up. For he loved to dress, especially whenever he was stepping out. He loved clothes and took meticulous care of his appearance; he was known to be a "sharp" dresser.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bryan leaves the following to cherish his memories: his only surviving brother, Mr. Kenneth Cooke of Frederick, Maryland; his spouse, Junetta Cooke; children, Pamela Cooke, Lisa Cooke, Bryan Cooke, Jr. (Rena); stepchildren, Delores Martin (Kenneth), Selina Richardson (Gene), Denise Ealy (Milton), Edward Griffin, Carla Sue, and Andrea Reed (Willie); and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Bryan was the heart of his family and a light in so many lives. But those who knew him know that his spirit lives on in every story, every shared laugh, every "Mr. B/Uncle B" interaction, and every memory of his kindness.
