Obituary

Cami Yvonne was born June 19, 1972, in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Lillian Driver and Larry Reed. She was their one and only baby girl.

Raised in Fort Smith Cami attended North High School where she graduated in 1990. As a vibrant and blossoming young lady Cami attended The University of Pine Bluff and furthered her education where she pursued a degree in Fashion Design, graduating in 1997. Her love for all things fashion and bling is what made her personality even bigger than life itself.

Cami never met a stranger and was always the life of any get together. Cami loved her family, her friends, and her village dearly. Though she never had any biological children of her own, Cami treated her loved one's children as her own. Cam's Kids knew she genuinely cherished every bit of them and in return they loved on her right back. She would always say "Don't play with me about my kids now."

Above all else Cami loved the Lord. During her early years she was a member of Campbell Chapel CME Church and when she grew up into her teen years, she joined Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the Youth Choir. Later in her adult life Cami relocated to Texas where she spent many years at All Nations Fellowship Church where she was a faithful servant in the Greeters Ministry and of course she worked with the kids in children's church. Cami loved a good, sweet treat and she would make sure her kids didn't miss out either. More recent Cami became one of the founding members of The Abundant Life Worship Ctr, DFW under the leadership of Dr. Myron Jones as Pastor and close family friend whom she nicknamed "Bubbs". Cami was a faithful member and supported the ministry in every aspect of the word. The love between Cami and her church family was undeniable and she is already truly missed.

Cami's dedication to Exceptional Service was evident in her work life as well. She had an awesome career with the Dallas County where she was a shining star as County Court Clerk making many, many good friends along the way. Cami would remain her until her health began to decline.

Cami was such a fighter; she was a Mighty Warrior. Her life's mantra hung fully on four letters, F.R.O.G. standing for Fully Relying on God. Through every health struggle Cami remained positive and kept her sense of humor. After many of life's swift transitions, Cami finally grew tired and heard the still quiet voice of God on a late Sunday night whisper come to me and I will give you your eternal rest. Cami is preceded in death by her mother, Ms. Lillian 'Pookie" Driver, all her aunts (mom's sisters) and an uncle.

Loving family she leaves to cherish her memory include her father, Mr. Larry Reed (Elizabeth); brothers, Shoan Morris and Kenneth Reed; sister, Angela Reed; a long loving list of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Cami also leaves behind a peculiar people whom she affectionately called her village.
