Remembering the Life and Legacy of
Carl Lee Smith

On April 21, 1961, Carl Lee Smith was born to Paul E. Smith Sr. and
Verna Mae Smith in McKinney, Texas.
Carl came to know Christ as his Savior at an early age. He attended
Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Plano, Texas. He received his
education at Plano Senior High School of which he graduated from in
1979. Carl was recognized for his football skills as a running back and
quarterback for the Plano Senior High School Football Team (#24).
Carl went on to study for and receive his license as an apprentice. He
followed in his father's footsteps as a well skilled plumber.
Carl is preceded in death by his parents Paul E. Smith Sr. and Verna
Mae Smith; brothers Paul E. Smith, Jr. and Charles Edward Smith, Sr.
Leaving to cherish his memories is his daughter of whom he shared with
Holly Strom, Jasmin Runnels (Josh); grandchildren Kaylaa Runnels,
Isaac Ozuna, Evan Runnels, Michael Ozuna, Brianna Runnels and
Kylie Runnels; three sisters Pauline White, Edith Giles and Rosalie
Pearson; one brother Norris Gene Smith; two aunts Maxine and
Margaret; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient
in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.
