With hearts full of love and gratitude, we announce the passing of Carleen Giles-Lewis, who entered eternal rest on February 13th, 2026. Carleen was a woman whose warmth, kindness, and outgoing spirit touched everyone she encountered. She was well liked, friendly, and genuinely loved connecting with others, leaving lasting impressions through her open heart.

Carleen lived her life with purpose. Her presence brought comfort, joy, and laughter, and her spirit filled every room she entered. Above all, she cherished her family and found her greatest joy in the love she shared with them.

Carleen is survived by her daughters, Tafina Adgers-Meadors (son-in-law, Dwayne Meadors), Aurelia Giles, and Yalonda Coats; brother, George Evans III (wife, Keisha Evans); her grandchildren, Jalil J. Calhoun, Ariya Freeman, and King Josiah Oliver; her great-grandson, Jayden Calhoun; and a host of nieces and nephews, all of whom will continue to carry her love and legacy forward.

Though she is no longer with us in body, Carleen's spirit lives on through the family she loved so deeply and the countless lives she touched. She will be remembered for her friendly nature, her outgoing personality, and the love she gave so freely. Her memory will forever remain in our hearts.
