Chandra LaShon Rhone was born in Dallas, Tx on November 28, 1962, to Harvey Henderson and Mary Elizabeth Christian.
Affectionately known as "Tiger," "Ms. Green," "Shon," and "Green Granny," Chandra was a remarkable woman whose love, strength, and unwavering spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Chandra’s love for people, kindness and presence touched everyone around her. She carried many names throughout her life, each one reflecting the special bond she shared with family and friends. Whether known as Tiger for her strength, Ms. Green for her wisdom and grace, Shon to those closest to her, or Green Granny to the grandchildren who adored her, she leaves behind a legacy filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Chandra attended Dallas Independent School District schools and later dedicated many years of service working for HL Green Incorporation, Bank One Financial Institution, and Goodwill Industries. She was known for her strong work ethic, caring heart, and ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
Chandra was an active and faithful member of Cornerstone Baptist Church until her health began to fail her. Her faith, strength, and resilience carried her through life's many challenges and served as an inspiration to those around her.
Chandra was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Henderson; her mother, Mary Elizabeth Christian; her two granddaughters, DeNasta Rhone and TaTum Diaz; and her niece, ChiQuia Christian.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory her children, Niyayne Rhone, Diablo Rhone, Darvion Diaz and Christian Rhone; her grandchildren; Niyayna, Shanee, Niy'Janae, Niyayne, Iyayna, Ni'Ryajah, Ni'Zyriayne, Niy'Khyros, Malcolm, McKenzie, Kaliyah, Saryah and SeQuoia; one great granddaughter, Niy'Kyah; her siblings, Terry Christian, Jessie Christian and LaTasha Christian-Fisher; and her aunts, Earnestine Christian-Cummings and Kathy Henderson; and her loving caregiver, Shinee Wallace.
She is also survived by a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends whose lives she touched in immeasurable ways.
Chandra's love, wisdom, laughter, and unforgettable spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Though she may no longer walk beside us, her memory will continue to live on through every life she's touched.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
