C harissa Merritt was born August 1, 1985 to Elisha
Merritt and Willie Perry. Charissa, known to most as
Nikki, was raised by her grandmother in Grand
Prairie, Texas.

Nikki blessed the world with three beautiful children Aniyah
White, Darren Sample Jr. and Daycia Sample.

Nikki spent her life sharing her smile with everyone she
encountered. Every interaction with friends and family she made
sure to let them know that she loved them more. Not as a
competition, but to let them know she always had more love to
give. She never met a stranger nor shied away from being a light
in others darkest moments.

Nikki's mission was to heal the world with love and light. That
mission birthed her small business "Love Light, and Candles".
Though she has left this earth in physical form her flame still
burns to carry out her mission.

Left to cherish hermemory is her mom Elesha Merritt; dad
Willie Perry; daughters Aniya White and Daycia Sample;
brothers Charles Bacon Jr, Willie Perry Jr. and
Jeremy Perry; sister Keturah Merritt; sister/
cousins Danielle Hollings and Candace
Hollings; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces,
nephews, cousins and friends.
