A Glimpse at the Life of
Charlie "Chuckie" McKinzie
Charlie McKinzie (Chuckie) was born on July 30, 1953 in Plano, Texas to the parents of Charlie
Kirk and Dorothy Palmer McKinzie.
Chuckie accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized by his grandfather Bishop J.P. Palmer at
The Church of the Living God the Pillar and Ground of the Truth in Plano, Texas.
He attended school in the Plano Independent School District.
Earlier in life, he met Janice Marie Haynes. In their relationship they had a son Adrian Lorenzo
Haynes.
Chuckie worked for Dave Manders in Plano, Texas for many years. He loved football. He was an
avid OU (The University of Oklahoma) and San Francisco 49ers fan.
He was "Chuckie" to those who knew and loved him. He had a very comical side that would have
you in stitches laughing! He loved his family dearly especially his beloved niece Marquita
McKinzie.
He is preceded in death by his grand parents Sept and Amie McKinzie and J.P. and Mary Palmer
parents Kirk and Dorothy McKinzie; sisters Elsie (Lulu) Moody, Della Faye McKinzie, Mary Bell,
Amy Phillips, Frankie Reeder, Regina Johnson; brothers Wallace "Son" Taylor, Kenneth
McKinzie, Tony McKinzie, Scottie McKinzie and Vernice McKinzie.
Charlie leaves to cherish his memories his loving son Adrian Lorenzo Haynes; a grandson
Kambrim Javon Lorenzo Haynes; the love of his life Janice M. Haynes; brother Charlie McKinzie
(Macie); sister Delorse Wilson (Doug); sister in law Patsy Taylor (Wallace); brother in law Jimmy
Childs (Della).; his devoted niece Marquita McKinzie; three special nieces Kay Jordan, Heather
McCarthy, Haelee Taylor Brooks; his "brother from another mother" Joseph Reed, Jr.; Godson
Joseph Reed and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends all of whom he loved dearly.
Charlie "Chuckie" McKinzie will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by those who knew
and loved him.
