Obituary

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: a time to be born Ecclesiastes 3:1
Charminy Tiwone Lewis was born in McKinney, TX on April 13th,1978 to the parentage of Don Whaley and Linda Lewis. She was a daddy's girl and had a smile that lit up her parents' lives.

When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: 1 Corinthians 13:11
Charminy received her education from the Plano and Dallas Independent School District, graduating from Hillcrest High School in 1996 with honors. Charminy continued her education at Navarro College where she graduated with multiple degrees. After her college graduation, she pursued a career at Countrywide Home Loans in Plano.

Charminy accepted Christ at an early age at Greater New Birth Baptist Church in Plano, TX under the leadership of Charles R. Terry, Sr. She later attended Mount Olive Church of Plano.

Charminy loved life. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She found joy in life's simple pleasures: word puzzles, listening to music, and watching her favorite tv shows and movies. Charminy was one of a kind - her energy was infectious, her spirit unshakable, her heart super kind and her outlook always bright.

For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 2 Timothy 4:6
On October 3, 2025, at the age of 47, Charminy's earthly journey ended when the Lord called her home to Glory. She is now reunited with her only child, Micah Morrison; sisters, Angel Tennille Lewis and Tondala Sheree "Cookie" Lewis; paternal grandparents, Roma and Mary Whaley; maternal grandfather, James Landers; uncles, Phillip Whaley and David Whaley; and an aunt, Debra Whaley who greeted her at Heaven's gates.

I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. John 14:18
Charminy will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Linda Lewis Henry; father, Don Whaley (Starla); grandmother, Eurine (Bigmama) Herod; sisters, Deatra Allen-Whaley and Tanya Shane Allen-Whaley; and brother, Anthony Edwards-Whaley.

Also left to cherish her memory and love are her aunts, Patricia Reed and Mary Whaley; uncles, Terrance Whitley (LaTia), Jimmy Whitley, Andre Thursby, Joey Whaley (Dorothy), and Ronald Whaley (Tanzy).; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Though Charminy is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone whose lives she touched. She will forever be remembered and missed by all who knew and loved her.
