Chase Mehki Brown was born on August 26, 2011, at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana to Shana A. Brown and Dorian R. Thompson. Adorable from the start, Chase gave authentic expressions to all who had the pleasure of encountering him.  Rightfully, Chase was gifted a lifetime of special teachers and caregivers after a diagnosis of Autism and later, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

After moving to Texas, his journey began at Early Childhood Education School of Frisco and moving on to Furneaux Elementary, Thompson Elementary, and Blalack Middle School in Carrollton where he held A&B Honor Roll status.

Chase affectionately known as "Rocking Chase" lived a short but impactful life, touching the hearts of many. In all of his 12 years, he gifted an overwhelming amount of smiles equivalent to those who are given 100 years to live. Chase was driven by multiple genres of music to rock, snap, and yelp to the groovy tunes he discovered on his iPad. He explored decades of artists and thousands of classics.  On the evening of March 27, 2024, "Rocking Chase" lost his battle with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and fell asleep in death.
