Christine Chatman was born on October 29, 1941, to the late Veola Smith and Roosevelt Chatman in Hempstead, Texas. In 1958, she relocated to Grand Prairie, Texas where she later became a graduate of Dalworth High in 1961.

Christine accepted the Lord as her Saviour at an early age and served Him faithfully. She worked for Lerners Distribution and RKC, Inc. where she worked diligently until 2015 when her health began to fail.

On February 11, 2020, the Lord saw fit to call Christine home to live eternally with Him. Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by her brother Harold Smith.

Christine leaves to cherish her memories, her three children: Reneé Chatman, Sandra Chatman and Pastor Dennis Chatman (Carol); four grandchildren: Antwone Washington, Sierra Sowels, Howards Sowels, Jr., and Kyler Pearson; three great-grandchildren: Janiyah Walker, Tre'Shun Washington and Kae'syn Massie; three sisters; three brothers; one uncle; three aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and friends.
