Obituary

Clara Ann Johnson was born on March 17, 1963 to Louis Sr. and Vera Johnson. Clara gained her angel wings on December 18, 2023 with her husband and nephew by her side.

Clara accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age at Emma Zion Baptist Church in Melville, Louisiana. She later joined New Mount Zion Baptist Church where she was a faithful member until she went home to glory.

She attended Melville High School and was a graduate of The Class of 1982. Clara worked for Kid's Country as a teacher for 25 years. She was employed as a Site Coordinator for Richardson Independent School District until her demise. Clara touched so many children's lives for decades and to this day she is affectionately called "Mrs. Clara". She dedicated her life to nurturing, teaching, caring and loving children of all ages including her nieces and nephews.

Clara met her husband Tony in 1988. He fell in love with her eyes from day one. Their courtship lasted six years and they were united as one on August 14, 1994 because this day signifies the day they met. Two young sons were born from this union. Clara and Tony enjoyed traveling to Louisiana and Las Vegas. They spent every waking hour together. The love they had for each other was a match made in Heaven. They were best friends and spent countless hours talking and laughing. She was his ying to her yang!

Clara had a selective set of friends whom she treated with utmost respect. Clara loved going to the nail salon to get her extravagant and beautiful nails done. She had a flare for fashion, and she was always dressed to perfection! She was witty and savvy. She carried herself as a woman of class. She spoke her mind and gave good sound advice. She was everyone's confidante. She avidly loved cartoon character, Tweety Bird.

Clara was a loving wife, a phenomenal mother, a caring sister and a supportive aunt. She never missed a family event. She enjoyed spending quality time with her niece (Skylar) shopping and watching Reality TV. She was a quiet lady, but her presence spoke volumes!

Clara was preceded by death by her parents Louis Sr. and Vera Johnson; brother Charles Johnson and special dad, Clyde Neely.

She leaves to cherish her memories with her devoted husband Anthony Willis; loving sons Christopher Willis and Anthony Willis II of Garland, TX; five siblings Louis Johnson Jr, (Regina) of Garland, TX, Carolyn Johnson of Garland, TX, Darlene Oliver (James) of Sacramento, CA, Charlene Johnson of Garland, TX and Gerald Johnson (Tabatha) of Saint Joe, MO; special niece/granddaughter Skylar Johnson of Houston, TX.

She also leaves behind a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

The world lost a beautiful woman, but God lost an angel!
