Obituary

Clara Ola Mack was born on December 5, 1934, in Hallsville,
Texas to the parentage of the late Mary Etta and Ellis Taylor.
She married the late Jodie Mack, Sr. and to that union six children
were born.
She worked at Rockwall Nursing Home as a Nurse ' s Aid for several
years before starting her business as a private maid. She worked for
several families, to name only a few, there were the Elliotts and the
Lanums. Her last family was the Miles family of which she worked
for over twenty years until she retired.
She was a proud member of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist
Church as a faithful servant for many years. She sang in the Choir,
served on the Mission Board, served as Superintendent of Sunday
School and also drove the church ' s van. She always had a smile for
everyone and a warm greeting for people. She then moved her
membership to Now Faith under the leadership of Reverend Frank
Wordlaw. There, she held several duties until the church, with great
regret, disassembled. She later joined the New Mt. Hebron Baptist
Church under the leadership of Reverend W. J. Davis with current
leadership of Reverend Troy Gamble. Mother Clara loved reading
the Word and serving the Lord. She will be forever missed by those
who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ellis Taylor and Mary
Etta Taylor; son Billy Earl Mack; sisters Lola Bell Smith, Fannie
Mae Osborne and Jeanette Taylor; brothers Johnny Lee Taylor and
Thomas Moore.
She leaves to cherish her memories: sons Jodie Mack Jr. (Tam),
Harvey Mack (Charlotte), Alvin Mack Sr. (Theresa); daughters
Laurinda Thomas and Pamela Mack; sister Robbie J. Meeks (Troy);
brothers Lawrence Jenkins Jr. (Sharon), Rev. Jimmy Moore Sr.
(Bobbie) and a host of loving grandchildren, great grandchildren,
great - great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
There is great joy knowing that because of the relationship that
Mother Clara had with the Lord Jesus Christ, that she has already
been in His presence. It is written that there is no greater joy than to
be in the presence of the Lord.
