IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Clarence
Davis
January 16, 1943 – April 4, 2024
Clarence "Adam" Davis was born January 16, 1943 in Glendale, Arizona to the parentage of Mackie B. and Inez Davis. Clarence was the sixth of six boys and three girls.
Clarence received his formal education at AB Davis High School in Lott, Texas, and was a graduate of the Class of 1962. After high school, he decided to enlist in the United States Marine Co of which he was injured and medically discharged. He moved to Grand Prairie, Texas after being discharged from the Marines. He attended church with his best friend Earl Washington, he accepted Christ and served in the outreach ministry. He then was employed in the concrete and asphalt industry for approximately 30 years. He later worked at Don Davis Body Shop of Arlington, Texas of which he retired.
Clarence was a fan of dressing nice. He loved wearing nice suits and gave them a name called "Walking Suits" and you better not tell him he wasn't clean as a whistle! Clarence was a lively, hardworking, kind and generous man who valued his family, and loved to dance and joke around. Everyone he talked to became his friend. He was always attending somebody's funeral whether he knew them or not. It was all out of respect. He enjoyed going to drag races, watching westerns, football, basketball, WWF and Family Feud with host Steve Harvey. He also enjoyed listening to "The Blues", especially his all-time favorite Bobby Blue Bland.
Clarence peacefully passed away on April 4th, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mackie B. and Inez Davis; brothers, Charles A. Davis and Frank F. Davis; sisters, Ida M. Bailey, Lacie B. Davis and Grace J. Brunson.
Clarence is survived by his loving daughter, Nina Wilson; grandson, Marcus Henry, Jr.; granddaughter, Beatrice Henry and Domoniqua Wilson; great grandson, Bryson Wilson; Godson, Terry Hansford; Goddaughter, Cynthia Hansford; God granddaughter, Shanika Bibbs; brothers, Arlone Davis (Liz); Ellis Wayne Travis; a sister, Rose Davis Gentry; and a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss his presence dearly.
Sleep peacefully our Brother; You fought a good battle … We love You!
