Obituary

Clinton Jackson, Sr. was born February 24, 1939, to Wesley and Mamie Jackson in Fort Worth, TX. Clinton was one of seven children born to this union.

Clinton married the love of his life, Margie Nell Jackson on August 22, 1959. They celebrated 65 years of marriage. To this union, two sons were born, Clinton, Jr. and Calvin. He was a devoted husband and a loving father.

Clinton was a gentle giant with a quiet spirit. When he spoke, everyone listened. He had nothing but encouraging words when you spoke to him.

His grandchildren were his pride and joy. Whitney, Wesley and London could do no wrong.

Clinton loved watching TV. He was often found in his media room with three TV's on at the same time on different channels and he could tell you what was happening on all of them.

Cars and music were his greatest joy. When you walked in the house you would often hear the Soul Stirrers playing in the background. He loved gadgets. He would buy two or three of the same things so he could give one to his family. His collection of watches, clocks and baseball caps were something to see.

We find comfort in knowing that Clinton's legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us and the unwavering love and support he gave us.

Clinton began his automotive career at Henry Butts in Arlington and Dallas where he was employed for twenty years. He then worked at Texas Vehicle Management where he was employed for ten years.

Clinton was employed by Park Place Mercedes of Dallas where he worked another twenty years before retiring.

Clinton is preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Mamie; wife, Margie Jackson; son, Clinton Jackson, Jr.; sister, Ozell Moore; and brothers, Sherman Jackson, Ervin Jackson, John Jackson and James Jackson.

Left to cherish his memories; his son, Calvin (Dawn) Jackson of Duncanville; three grandchildren, Wesley (Myka) Jackson of Grand Prairie, Whitney Jackson of Richardson, London Stewart of Denver, CO; three great grandchildren, Ava, Austin, and Amir; sisters, Bernice Bell and Brenda Bush and a host of nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.

Clinton heard the voice of the Lord and answered the call on June 4th to be with those loved ones gone before him.
