Obituary

Curtis Joe Williams was born March 9, 1959 to Mrs. Katherine Lakes-Scott.

He grew up in Dallas, Texas and received his formal education in Dallas Independent School District.

He loved to sing and cook. As a child, he would travel and sing at many churches. He was given the name "Sweet Home" because he would always sing this particular song without fear standing before crowds at churches.

Curtis enjoyed participating in family gatherings. Everyone looked forward to him hosting family gatherings because they knew there would be great food prepared and served; and there would always be a delicious dessert waiting.

He believed in being well-groomed and looking his absolute best. He was always dressed in the latest men's fashion. He was a very humble
man who always showed gratitude and his love for people. He was the one who would always lend a helping hand however he could.

Curtis was a great brother, uncle and friend who touched the lives of many who had the privilege of knowing him. He was loved, adored and admired by many. Curtis will forever missed and never forgotten by all who knew and loved him.

Curtis was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Katherine Lakes- Scott; two brothers, Eddie Scott and Jerry Dotson; one sister, Cathy Jackson.

Curtis leaves to cherish his beautiful memories 3 brothers, Frank Scott (Deloris) of Gardenia, CA, James Scott (Menchie) of Temecula, CA
and Tommy Scott of Odessa, TX; two sisters, Shirley Lewis and Gwen Scott of Dallas, TX; one aunt, the Matriarch of the family, Joan Faye
Kelsey of Alexandria, VA; his little niece (special pet), Princess Scott; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
