IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Da'Lon Onemasis
Willis, Sr.
January 31, 1973 – June 11, 2020
Da'Lon Onemasis Willis Sr. was born January 31, 1973 in Garland, TX at Medical Center of Garland to Robert Alan Mack, Sr. and Hazel Jeanette Willis. He attended elementary and middle school in Garland, Texas and graduated from Grand Prairie High School. As a young boy he enjoyed playing sports and it was instilled in him at a very early age that "No One Could Touch Him" and he carried that attitude his whole life.
When we think of Da'Lon also known as "Pretty D" or you may of knew him as "Franko" or "Frank Nitty." We think of a legend, someone you hear of in a tall tell or a folk story. Everyone that was blessed to become a part of his legacy within his 47 years, has their own story to tell about "Pretty D". Some stories you might not believe unless you have experienced a day with him yourself.
His favorite saying was "Don't worry about it" and he would always make sure he told you "I love you fam", whether you were family or not. Da'Lon loved his people. He had a contagious smile that could light up a room with his golds shinning. All he ever wanted was for us to come together and be great.
He went from living life by the code to giving his life to Christ. He went from working a 9 to 5 to caring for his grandmother and then his mother. Taking on a lot of responsibilities that the average person could not handle in 24 hours. This is one of the many reasons that made him a legend. His heart was huge and full of love and compassion. He had a way of spreading motivation and positive energy like no other.
He would love for his story to live on. We all know Da'Lon could tell a good story. He always kept us laughing. So, tell your children how he loved his community and would not hesitate to give his last. Just as human as the rest of us he had his flaws and owned them. He is defiantly one of the good ones. So, lets live out his wishes come together and no matter what "don't worry about it".
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Virgil and Jim Willis, Gertrude and McCoy Jamerson 1 Nephew, 5 Uncles, 1 Aunt, 1 Great uncle.
Da'Lon leaves to cherish his loving mother Hazel Jeanette Willis; father Robert Alan Mack Sr.; son Da'Lon Onemasis Willis Jr.; nine siblings: Marcus Willis, Tinesha Smith (Richard), Dahyal'e Robinson, Robert Anthony Mack (Cooter), Robert Alan Mack Jr. (Chinese), Patrick Mack, Beverly Mack, Chanel Mack, and Jamon Mack; very special aunts and uncles; one great-great aunt Ruby Hill, three great aunts: Dorothy Douglas, Margaret Mayo, and Mary Reddick; aunts and uncles: Josie Murphy (Elwood), Edward Walker, Christopher Willis, Pamela Washington (Tracy), Bonnie Jamerson (Larry), Tina Jamerson (Gary), and Kenneth Jamerson (Jamie), VertieJamerson, Linda Jamerson; two god sisters: Michelle Christopher and Lacresha Bell; one god brother Michael Cristopher; twelve nieces; six nephews and a host of loving family members and friends across the metroplex.
