David Chance Gebhardt entered the world on May 15, 1991, in Tyler, Texas. A healthy handsome baby boy. Even as a child his presence lit up the

room. He attended Douglas Elementary and Dogan Middle School in Tyler, TX. During middle school he moved to Arlington, TX where he attended Ferguson Middle School and Bowie High School.

A son, brother, uncle, amazing father and friend that we all were blessed to share a lifetime with; he is survived by his parents, David and Christie Gebhardt and LaNechia Thompson; his children Choice and Chosen Gebhardt; his siblings, De’Nech, Kayla, Brandon, Brandi, BraNay, MaLay, Nehemiah, Naki, DaTrian, Noah and LaDavian. His grandparents, David Lee Gebhardt and Beverly Ann Choice. His nieces, NaRyah, JaNyah, MaKayla, Jayla, and Ella; nephews, Ace, Daegen, Trew and Dash. A host of aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by Papa Marvin, Papa Eddie, and his cousin, Dasha.

No matter what the task or responsibility was David Chance was a respectful, devoted, nurturing, loyal, protective and honest person. He gave without hesitation, loved without limits and every step he took had power. He would never miss an opportunity to make your day brighter no matter how his was going. His presence was undeniable! If he saw a need he met it, if he saw pain he softened it. Though David Chance’s time with us on earth has stopped, his legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched. His impact was like the “smooth aggression” he took to the track; direct, firm, but still easy like a Sunday morning.

We love you dearly Lil Man; your smile, your laugh, your hugs, and your energy will be forever missed!
