Marvin C. Duncan was born on February 13, 1948, to the parentage of Freddie Duncan, Jr. and Harriett Duncan in Athens, Texas. His family later moved to Grand Prairie. He received his education from Dalworth High School where he played basketball and was a part of the graduating class of 1966.

Deacon Duncan became a member of Sunset Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon Board and the church choir until his passing. Marvin also showed exceptional leadership and service roles in the workplace as well. He worked for Sprint for over 15 years. He then transitioned his employment to First American/Corelogic where he worked diligently for over 10 years. At the time of his passing, Marvin was faithfully working as a Pharmaceutical Courier.

He was preceded in death by his mother Harriett Duncan.

Mr. Marvin leaves to cherish his fond memories, his children: Derrick Duncan of Grand Prairie, TX., Eric Duncan of Ft. Worth, TX., Victor (Watika) of Grand Prairie, TX., and Ursylia "Red" Wilson of Arlington, TX.;  beloved father Freddie Duncan, Jr. (Julia) of Lancaster, TX.;  grandchildren: Derrica and Erica Duncan, Patricia Casey, Danielle Alexandria Brown, Sharmayne and Mahogany Duncan, JayShaun Riley and Cameron Duncan; great-grandchildren: Kylie and Kennedy Brown; brother Roger Duncan (Macy) of Ft. Worth, TX. and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends
