IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Deacon Jesse
Dee Payten
August 15, 1938 – August 6, 2019
Deacon Jesse Dee Payten was born on August 15, 1938, to the late Jesse & Ellenor Payten in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the middle child of his parents' three children.
Deacon Payten served his country proudly for 21 years in the United States Air Force and retired with an Honorable Discharge. During his service, Deacon Payten fought in the Vietnam War. Upon his retirement, Deacon Payten met and fell in love with the love of his life, Constance J. Perry.
With their hearts full of love, Deacon Payten & Constance were united in holy matrimony in Dallas, TX, on July 12, 1980, where they recently celebrated their 39 th wedding anniversary.
Upon marrying Constance, Deacon Payten accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. As the Word of God permeated his life, Deacon Payten became a founding member of Open Bible Fellowship Church, where he served faithfully and eagerly as a Deacon for 29 years until he was called home by the Lord.
Over the course of his life, Deacon Payten became a successful entrepreneur within the Dallas Forth-Worth area. Deacon Payten was passionate about providing for his family, creating an opportunity for others, and loved his work. He owned various businesses: Expect Cleaning Service, JP Auto Care, and AVision Limousine Services. Deacon Payten loved all forms of competition sports, which included boxing, track & field, bowling, and football. He was especially a big Dallas Cowboy Football fan but he genuinely treasured spending the bulk of his time with his family and friends.
Deacon Payten was preceded in death by his parents: Jesse Dee Payten Sr. and Ellenor Louise Payten, his brother Lawrence Edward Payten Sr., his first wife Thealonia Payten and his second wife Ruby L. Payten.
Now, cherishing his memories, are his loving and devoted wife: Constance Payten and their sons: Jesse Dee (Deborah) Payten Jr. of Ft. Worth, TX; Jay Dee Payten of Lakeland, FL; Jock Dee (Andrea) Payten of Dallas, TX; Lauren R. Rideaux of Houston, TX; Olufemi K.
