Deacon Elmer Howard Lee (Howard) was born in Greenville, Texas on July 10, 1944 to Will and Dovie C. Wright Lee. Howard accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Carter Temple CME Church in Greenville, Texas.
He received his education at St. Paul School in Neylandville, Texas where he graduated in 1963. Howard worked for E-Systems and Kraft Foods. He also worked with his brother driving trucks. After working with his brother, Howard decided to start his own business, "Howard Auto" from 1992 to 1997. He then moved to Rowlett, TX. where he worked as painter for Garland Independent School District. He was a faithful worker until his health failed in 2002.
Howard met and married Marilyn Hall, in this union three children were born. She preceded him in death. He later married Dorothy Murray and they raised two beautiful children together.
In 1986, he rededicated his life to Christ and was a faithful witness until his death. He was ordained as a Deacon in 2002 at Zion Baptist Church where he was a faithful worker. He later became a member of Living Faith Community Fellowship Church and was a dedicated and faithful member until his illness prevented him from attending. He then united with New Beginning Fellowship Church where he was faithful until his passing.
He was preceded in death by both his parents; one daughter: Cassandra, two grandchildren: Arianna and Joseph; six brothers and five sisters.
Deacon Howard leaves behind to cherish his memories, his beloved wife, Rev. Dorothy Lee; his children: Barry Lee (Connie Martin) of Rowlett, TX., Pamela Lee of McKinney, TX., Brian Murray Lee (Patricia) of Houston, TX., and Tamela Murray of Sachse, TX.; one bonus daughter: Rochanda Tyous; nine grandchildren: Brandon, Erika, Caylon, Darius, Brit, Bradley, Braylon, Kailee and Kendall ; two sisters: Rev. Ester Fay Lawson of Greenville, TX., and Virginia Mason (Louis) of Taledo, OH.; two sisters-in-law: Clara Lee of Greenville, TX., and JoAnn Carter (Billy) of Greenville, TX.; one brother-in-law Richard Murray; special aunt Vaudie Calhoun and a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
