Deadra Lesla Lockhart was born in Houston, TX on
November 17, 1962 to Ruth Ann Tucker & Lee Irvin
Demarx. She is survived by her siblings (Mildred-Ann
Mosley, Shelton Johnson, Frank Johnson, Fred Tucker, and
Eric Tucker) who kept her busy during her teenage years.
Deadra also graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1982.

During her marriage to Willie Jean Polk, she gave birth to
Christopher Johnson-Polk in May 1981. Deadra was
career-focused, putting in 30+ years in customer service for
MCI, United Health Care, and finally retiring from Texas
Workforce in 2018.

In 1985, Dee met Jonathan Lockhart. A decade later they
were married and in 1997 they brought their daughter,
Alexandria Lockhart, into the world. In 2006, they left
Richardson, TX and moved to Red Oak, TX, where there
was finally room for an extra family memeber, Bryson (the
dog).

Family and friends remember Dee Lockhart for her
infectious laugh, dance moves, and maternal instincts. You
could find Dee at the movie theater, church, a cousin's
house, or shopping. Her sense of humor and compassionate
heart endeared her to everyone she met. A mother who
championed her children, guiding and supporting them
through every stage of life.

Dee was devoted to her family, making sure everyone felt
loved and taken care of. Her new, favorite priority was her
granddaughter, "Groovy Ruby". Dee would travel near and
far to make sure someone was in your corner. Her light and
impact lives on in everyone she touched.
