Della Mae Turner Durham was born on April 24, 1934, in Vickery, Texas to the parents of Jeff Hill & Lenora Jones.

Ms. Della was a great cook, loved to do for others, loved going to the casino and playing bingo. We will all miss her great cooking especially her children & grandchildren! You could always count that Ms. Della will cook a spread for the Holidays.

Ms. Della loved and was loved by many. Like a treasure from Heaven itself, the Lord gave her unto us a precious gift that we cherished more than any diamond or jewel. Her love was a delight of many, especially of her brother, sons, daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. With her warm smile, her loving manner, and compassionate spirit, she touched the lives of everyone she met.

Ms. Della accepted Christ at an early age. Ms. Della would like you to know that her work here is done! She received her homegoing call from the Lord on Nov 14, 2019, where Ms. Della Mae Turner Durham departed this earthly life and transitioned to her Heavenly home in Glory. She is preceded in death by her father Jeff Hill; mother Lenora Jones; husband Algernon Turner, brothers J.D. Hill, Pritchett Hill, and Stanley Hill; son Algernon Turner, daughter Sheila Jackson, grandson Jerome Jackson and granddaughter Candace Jackson.

Those left to cherish her memories are sons Percy Turner, Roy Turner (Sally), Moses Turner (Harprit), daughter Rebecca Turner, Goddaughter Charmaine Jefferson, brother Lee Hill, Grandchildren Lewis Turner, Lauren Avery, Marcus Turner, Krystal Turner, Moses Turner Jr., and Janah Turner, great-grandchildren Chloe Turner and Kennedy Crum.
