IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dollie Beryl
Waffer
December 16, 1933 – September 26, 2019
Dollie Beryl Fuller (Ma Dear) was the second of six children, born December 16, 1933, in Hallsville, Texas, to the parentage of Mr. Major Fuller and Mrs. Lessie B. Smith, both of whom preceded her in death. One daughter, Vanessa Ann Shaw, one granddaughter, Victoria Cook, one great grand-daughter, Kiajah Shaw, one sister, Nettie Jean Linvel and one brother, James (Buddy) Fuller all preceded her in death.
Dollie professed Christ at an early age at the New Zion Church of Christ in Marshall, TX, and later became a member of the Athens Church of Christ in Hallsville, TX. She later moved her membership to the 4th Avenue Church of Christ in Dallas, TX, where she served faithfully until her health failed her.
Dollie attended the Hallsville Public School System and graduated from Gallilee High School in Hallsville, TX. She then went on to graduate as a Beautician from the Valrie Hurd Beauty College in Marshall, TX, and begin working with Perilla in her shop in Longview, TX. She spent most of her career as a seamstress with Victor Costa in Dallas, TX, before retiring.
On September 2, 1953, she married Elven Lee Shaw (Brother Shaw) and to this union, two daughters were born. Later, she married J.C. Waffer and resided in Rockwall, TX. After moving to Dallas, she later had a son.
She leaves to celebrate her homegoing and cherish her memory: a daughter, Vickie Marie (James) Cook of Richardson, TX, a son, Derrick Waffer (Sonya) of Rowlett, TX; grandsons, Keithan (Latasha) Shaw and Kasey (Rachel) Shaw of Dallas, TX; great-grandchildren, Dai'ja Shaw and Kayla Shaw of Moreno Valley, CA and Kasey, Jr, Kamiyah Shaw, Kianna Shaw and Kailey Shaw all of Dallas, TX, Lyric Shaw of Moreno Valley, CA and Erynne Tolbert of Garland, TX; sisters, Judy Nichols and Mazie Crayton both of Hallsville, TX, and Lurie Taylor of Longview, TX; two aunts, Cassie Johnson and Valrie Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Dollie, affectionately known as Dot, was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
