On August 16, 1988 in Houston, Texas Hobert Ruffin and Gail Ruffin welcomed a beautiful baby girl and named her

Dominique Gabrielle Weatherspoon

She received her formal education in the Houston Independent School District and graduated from Westfield High School in 2006. She later went on to attend Remington College in Houston, Texas.

Dominique met and married Exel Weatherspoon and to their union three children were born.

Dominique accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of New Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Wiley Dunn for 23 years. She was a part of the youth choir and she was on the Praise Dance team.

Dominique was a part of the JROTC and Girl Scouts of America for many years. She was a Private 1 ^st Class in JROTC she was also number one in Riffle Range. She was the Vice President of the Girl Scouts of America and she received the highest honor by the leader.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Daisy and Harry Gordon; two uncles: Eugene Gordon and Elzie Gordon; and four aunts: Karen White, Wilma Hilton, Ollie Gill, and Debra Phillio.

Those left to cherish the beautiful memories of Dominque are her husband Exel Weatherspoon; son Tre'Van Weatherspoon; two daughters: Makaiela Weatherspoon and Kaidyn Weatherspoon; father Hobert Ruffin; mother Gail Rufffin; grandmother Floradine Glaze; two brothers: Hobert D. Ruffin and Sidney Green; sister Zaneta Franklin; mother-in-law Sharron Matthews; father-in-law Glenn Matthews; brother-in-law Glendez Matthews; sister-in-law Glynetra Matthews and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
