Mr. Donald Ray Rector, Sr., was born on June 13, 1950, in Caddo Mills, Texas.  He was born to the parentage of the late Jeff Roy Rector and Emerline Franklin Rector.  He peacefully transitioned to eternity on May 24, 2022, at Medical City, in McKinney, Texas.

At an early age, Donald Ray accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior under the leadership of the late Pastor Fordie Willis.  Donald Ray was a beloved dad, brother, uncle, friend, PawPaw, and veteran, who proudly served in the United States Marines.

Donald Ray married Tommie Neal, on August 14, 1970, and 3 children were born into this union (Kimberly Ann, Donald Ray, Jr., and Bryan).  He would later marry Linda Henry Rector, and to this union, 3 children were born, Demetrius, Jamaica, and Andre.

After he settled into retirement, he enjoyed doing lawn work, watching sports, and playing a healthy and competitive game of dominoes. Donald Ray enjoyed working until the Lord called him home.

He leaves to cherish his memories sons, Donald Ray (Bubba) Rector, Jr., Bryan Rector, of Lubbock, Tx, Demetrius Rector (Sharon), of Celeste, Tx; Jamaica Rector (Cara) of Forney, Tx; and Andre Rector (DeShonda), of Ft. Worth, Tx; sisters, Louise Powell (David) of Dallas, Tx, Beverly Hunter of Rockwall, Tx; Margaret Pearson (Bishop), of Rockwall, Tx; brothers, Marvin Rector (Lucille) of Josephine, Tx; Rev. Kenneth Rector (Shirley), of Austin, Texas, Thomas Rector of Caddo Mills, Tx; Edison Rector (Jackie) of Dallas, Texas, and Howard Rector (Paulette) of Dallas, Tx; sister-in-law, Betty Rector, brother-in-law, Deacon Joe Duffey of Caddo Mills, Tx, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Donald Ray was preceded in death by his dad, Jeff Roy Rector, mother, Emerline Franklin Rector, daughter, Kimberly Rector-Knight, brothers, Jeff Roy, Jr., Robert, Billy, and sisters, Elizabeth Rector Duffey, and Fredia Rector.
