Donald Patrick Standberry, Sr. was born on January 7, 1957 in McKinney, Texas to Betty and Clyde Standberry, Sr. He was raised in Plano and attended school in the Plano Public School System.

Donald accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Hill Chapel CME Church under the leadership of Pastor Clarence J. Ford, Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents Betty and Clyde Standberry, Sr., two sisters: Claudette and Lula Jean Standberry and one brother Michael Standberry.

Donald leaves to cherish his memories, two sons: Donald P. Standberry, Jr. and Colton Standberry; sister, Paulette Standberry; five brothers: Clyde R. Standberry (Judy), Rickey Standberry, Bill Standberry, Amos Standberry (John) and Michael Ellis; six grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
