IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dwayne L.
Finley
February 10, 1972 – January 4, 2026
Dwayne Lee Lamon Finley was born on February 10, 1972, in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of Caroline Finley and Johnny O'Dell Finley. Being the youngest of three, he was the baby brother of Gracie Finley and Dale Finley, Jr.
Proverbs 14:23 All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.
At the age of 17, Dwayne Finley enlisted into the Navy where he served in various countries and received honorable metals. He received and well utilized his Commercial Driver's License to truck drive throughout the DFW area. For 15 years, He worked in the Garland Independent School District as a Bus Driver where he was loved by many students.
Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
As a natural light, his humor touched many around him and his laugh could be heard from different ends of the world. At any given opportunity, he effortlessly put smiles on strangers' faces. He poured lots of love into his family by spending quality time with his mom, siblings, uncles, and cousins. He enjoyed watching movies and going out to eat with his children. On sunny days, he loved to sit on the porch with his "speaker box" and even sometimes took strolls to enjoy the nature. His love for animals ran deep and in return, all furry creatures loved him back.
Luke 6:21 Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.
He continues to be cherished by his mom, sister, brother, and brother in law Darrell. Additionally, his light continues to shine through his children: Jaiceona Finley, Jaevon Finley, and Jayla Finley, as well as Sara Kittirath – the mother of his children. He was welcomed to his Heavenly home by his father; two grandmothers, Gracie Mae "Big Momma" Johnson and Mable Lee Green; Howard "Papa" Green, Uncle Bubba, Aunt Cris and Cousin Kerry.
Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
For those reading this, we ask that you please remember Dwayne Finley as being the life of the party. His sudden departure saddens many, but God will continue to strengthen those around beyond mortal understanding.
