Erick Lee Cunningham was born on December 3rd, 1968
to Garvis Lee Cunningham Sr. and Ethel (Shepard)
Cunningham in Dallas, Texas at Dallas Methodist
Hospital.

He grew up in the Dalworth Community of Grand Prairie, Texas. He
was a graduate of the Arlington - Sam Houston High School Class
1987.
Erick enjoyed playing sports as a child, including football. As an
adult, he loved watching NFL football and spending time with family
and close friends.
Erick was a humble, charming man who loved a good laugh and a
good meal. He was kind hearted, generous and caring. His
personality was contagious; he left an imprint on everyone he
encountered. He was always there for his family and friends. The
simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Erick.
Through all of life's challenges, Erick proved himself a nurturing,
loving and dedicated father. He loved his children unconditionally;
they were the most important part of his life. As a matter of fact,
Erick felt that being a father was his "greatest" accomplishment. He
loved being a father and grandfather, and always tried to provide for
his children and grands. He would put in extra effort for his children...
caring for their needs, motivating and challenging them to be and do
their best in all aspects of life.
Erick was preceded in death by his father Garvis Lee Cunningham Sr.;
brother Garvis Lee Cunningham Jr.; and daughter Shonntavia
Cunningham.
Erick's memories will be forever cherished by his: mother Mrs. Ethel
Cunningham; children Dedrick Berry, Erica Davis, Ashley
Cunningham, Taylor Cunningham-Lurks (Eliezer), Ja'nericka

Cunningham, Keric Cunningham; sister, Tambra Cunningham-
Anderson (Oscar) (deceased); Sister-in-law, Mary Cunningham; 13

grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and
friends.
Erick will be deeply missed by his family, friends and those who knew
and loved him.
