Obituary

Evaline Bell Pierce, former records clerk and grandmother,
passed away on March 2nd, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving
a legacy of humor and resilience in her final years.

Evaline Bell was born to Inez and Edgar Harrington on May 7, 1936 in
Wichita Falls, TX and was the second of six children. She spent her
childhood and young adulthood in Mesa, AZ with her mother and
siblings. She graduated from George Washington Carver High School
in 1954, where she played softball and cheered.

In 1962, she married Roy D. Pierce and assumed mothership of Harold
Doyle Harrington, born in July 1964, prior to relocating to Texas where
she began working at the Grand Prairie Police Department as a records
clerk and PBX Operator at age 30. She would remain with the Police
Department for the next 25 years.

She retired in 1996 and focused the rest of her 29 years on being a
loving grandmother to Harold's four children: Ebony Queenette
Standback, Briana Kache't Harrington, Harold Doyle Harrington II,
and Erica Starr Harrington.

In 2005, Evaline assumed a mothership role again of the latter two
children after the premature death of their mother, and she spent the
rest of her years raising them into adulthood.

After a sudden decline of her health in the beginning of the year,
Evaline peacefully passed away on March 2nd, 2025 around 9:00 PM
at a healthcare facility in Fort Worth, TX. She was funny, sweet, and
resilient until the very end, and the family is devastated by the loss of
our matriarch.

Evaline is preceded in death by her mother, father, aunt Gladys
Mackey; uncle, Raymond McKinney; sister, Lois Rowe; brother, Edgar
C. Harrington; niece, Keyanda Blakes; nephew, Lawrence Rowe; and
daughter-in-law, Tina Harrington.

Evaline leaves behind her son, Harold Doyle Harrington, Sr.; four
grand children, Ebony Queenette Standback, Briana Kache't
Harrington, Harold Doyle Harrington II, and Erica Starr Harrington;
only great-grandchild, Makayla Alyse Henderson; two sisters,
Jacqueline Huff and Michelle Blakes; one brother, Wayne Harrington
(all of Phoenix, AZ); and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Evaline Bell Pierce was a generous woman with a laugh that was larger
than life. She will be greatly missed.
