Obituary

Fairy Elizabeth Harris Mitchell Hawkins was born on August 24, 1955, to Lily Pearl Harris and
Marvin L. Phillips. Later, she was lovingly adopted by her great aunt Estelle Mitchell and Uncle
Loston Mitchell. Growing up in Minden, Louisiana, Fairy was fortunate to be guided and
nurtured by two mothers who shaped her into the remarkable woman she became.

Fairy accepted Christ at a young age, and her faith in Him became the foundation of her life. As
a young woman, she married Wibert Hawkins, and together they had two children. Later, Fairy
was blessed with a third child.

Fairy cherished her family above all else. Being a mother was always her first priority. She was
an exceptional seamstress, a talented singer, and a wonderful cook. Her joy of attending church
was evident as she actively participated in the usher board and cooking committee until her
health no longer allowed her to serve.

Fairy was a deeply spiritual lady whose life was guided by a strong personal faith. She believed
in the power and presence of the Lord, the beauty of simple acts of kindness, and the unwavering
importance of family. With a heart full of love and a spirit that never faltered, she was the
cornerstone of her family, a beacon of hope and comfort, and a source of endless wisdom. She
always put the needs of her family first, offering a constant presence in the lives of her children
and grandchildren. Always available with a listening ear and a reassuring smile, Fairy went
above and beyond for her family and loved ones.

She was predeceased by her parents, Lily Pearl Harris and Marvin Phillips; her adoptive parents,
Estelle Mitchell and Loston Mitchell; and her sister, Reba Harris.

Fairy leaves to cherish her memories, her loving children: Deyetta Hawkins, Marco Hawkins,
and Kili Hawkins (Glenda); her grandchildren: Cierra Anderson, Ethan Hawkins, (Bonus) Lyric
and Bishop Walker; and her loving brother, Dwayne Harris (Brenda). Additionally, she leaves
behind a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will greatly miss her.

Special thanks to the staff at Princeton Medical Lodge, Eric Thompson, nurse Vanesia Boya and
caregiver Tierra Pipkins. Deep appreciation also goes to the medical team at Medical City
McKinney: Dr. Shelt, Dr. Mahmood, Dr. Prakash, nurse Mitos, and nurse Noel.

As we bid farewell, we do so with hearts full of love and gratitude for the extraordinary woman
who was our mother, our rock, and our biggest inspiration. Her legacy of strength, love, and faith
will continue to guide us as we navigate life without her.

In Loving Memory of Fairy Elizabeth Harris Mitchell Hawkins

A Mother's Love

Her gentle voice, a soothing balm, Her tender touch, a steadfast calm. In our hearts, her love does
dwell, A guiding light, where peace can swell.
Her children, cherished, held so dear, In every smile, in every tear. For love like hers, so deep, so
true, In all we are, we see it through.
Though she has gone to heavens' embrace, Her spirit lives, in every space. In whispered winds,
in stars so bright, her presence lingers, day and night.
Forever in our hearts, she'll stay, In memories that won't decay. Her legacy, in us, will thrive, Her
love, her strength, will keep alive.
We promise, Mom, to make you proud, Your virtues carry, clear and loud. With every step, with
every stride, We'll hold you close, our eternal guide.
Though we must part, our hearts entwined, A mother's love, forever bind. We miss you dearly,
that is true, But in our hearts, we are with you.
