Gene Edward Hickman, Sr. was born December 29, 1953, in Newton, TX to the proud parents of George  and Dorothy Hickman

Gene received his formal education from Dallas Independent School District and graduated from LG Pinkston in 1972

He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior as he got older.

He married Claudette Hickman in 1982 and there were three children from the marriage, Gene Hickman Jr, Christopher Hickman and Christy Hickman also two stepdaughters Lafreda Williams (Johnny Williams), and Shantra Smith, a host of grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents George and Dorothy Hickman and his brother Rodney Hickman

He's survived by his aunt and uncle Jamie and Roberta Stansberry of Lufkin, TX, a bother Reginal Hickman and two sisters Gloria Hickman and Takecta Hickman
