REMEMBERED WITH LOVE:

GERALD WENDELL HARDING

Revelations 21:4

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall

be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be

any more pain: for the former things are passed away."

Gerald Wendell Harding was born on February 1, 1962, to the late Garvin W. Harding, Sr. and the late Helen Sims Harding. He was a man of strength, humor, and a spirit that could light up any room he entered.

Gerald carried himself with resilience through life’s challenges and never allowed hardship to define him. He was known for his quick wit, loving heart, and the ability to bring laughter even in difficult moments.

Gerald attended Dallas ISD schools and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1980, where he played football and first fell in love with the game that stayed with him throughout his life. He was a longtime member of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church, where his faith and presence were a part of his spiritual foundation.

He enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, especially drag races, playing dominoes, and cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed spending time at home, often rough housing and enjoying the companionship of his dog, Lady. Those who knew him will always remember his humor, his energy, and the love he showed in his own unique way.

Gerald was preceded in death by his father, Garvin W. Harding, Sr.; his mother, Helen Sims Harding; his sons, Christopher Harris and Branden Pendleton; his sister, Annette Washington; and brother, Kevin R. Harding. Left to mourn his passing is his devoted wife, Trena Green Harding; his loving  daughters, Antoinette Stewart, Natoya Boyce, and Gerlisa Harding; a Godson, Jalen James; eight grandchildren; his brothers,             Garvin Harding, Jr. (Betty) and Lenard Harding (Sandra). He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who loved him dearly and will forever hold his memory close.

Though Gerald has transitioned from this life, his love, laughter, faith, and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
